Kit Check, Before and After

Kit

  • The kit for that event, photographed
  • Backup camera, backup light, backup cables, sealed backup kit
  • Microfiber cloth

Steps

  1. Lay it out and count it

Everything present. Everything clean. Everything charged.

  2. Backups in

Camera, light, cables. Backup kit sealed.

  3. Test it for real

Real distance, real backdrop, real photos. Not a bench test.

  4. Photograph the kit

Attach it to the event. Right backdrop stand, right panels, checked twice.

  5. On site

Photo and video of the finished setup. Verify everything is plugged in and charging. Wipe screens before doors.

  6. End of event

Verify the uploader: every photo is up. Unplug every USB-C cable from the charging block, the Wi-Fi router, or whatever it’s plugged into before it goes in the case. Packed plugged in, a cable snaps off inside the port. Pack it how it was. Clean baseplates, cables, screens.

  7. Say something

Broken, dirty, needs maintenance, or just looking rough: say something, the same night. A backdrop that needs washing, a frayed cable, a wobbly stand, a scuffed case, something low or not right and you’re not sure why. We can only make it right if we know.

What goes wrong

  • Trusting last event’s pack instead of counting.
  • Baseplate packed against the unit head.
  • Leaving before the uploader shows every photo.
  • Packing a cable still plugged into a charging block or router. It breaks off inside the port.
  • Noticing something broken, dirty or worn and not saying anything.
