Winter at the Station

Michigan Central reopened the station in 2024, and for its first holiday season it ran Winter at the Station (“shop, savor, share, make new memories at The Station”). Michigan Central brought us in for the Portrait Booth.

We ran it through the season, from late November through New Year’s Eve, inside the restored station. A hosted booth, a holiday scene, Michigan Central’s branding on every photo, and instant delivery so visitors had their portrait on their phone before they got to the next stop. Thousands of Detroiters came through. 3,142 sessions, three photos and a GIF each, and it was our biggest single run to date.

The station is the photo. The booth just had to be good enough to belong in it.
